Larimar is a natural stone ranging in color from deep sky-blue to an aquamarine with cloud like patterns of powder blue to white. The color range is similar to Turquoise but the swirls of lightness, often close to white, set it apart from the usually more solid colors of Turquoise. Believe it or not, Larimar is only found in the Dominican Republic, where it was discovered around 1916. This means that some day, if this one source ever runs out, Larimar would become very valuable.
