Natural Heishi Banded Pearl Hammer Shell 5mm Wide 24" Strand
A large majority of these natural Shell Heishi Beads are iridescent mother of pearl. These lighter, pearly parts of the hammer shell alternate with thin bands of the dark part of the shell to create the classic banded Heishi effect. The pattern is fairly random with an old-world, tribal vibe which is very reminiscent of the original Heishi worn by the Pueblo for centuries. These 24" strands are 5mm wide. The individual beads also vary in thickness from 1.5mm to 6mm long. Please allow for the occasional 1mm variation in size, see the photos to get a good idea of the variation.
