16.7 Pounds of solid Turquoise all in one Huge Real Turquoise Nugget, that's 7,575 grams! A rare opportunity... and one heck of a conversation piece. This large stone features nice aqua greens and a light golden matrix so it would also be great for carving, cutting, lapidary or cabbing. It will return a high yield when cut but it is also very impressive in this natural state. It's like a blank canvas for a carver or sculptor. This giant Turquoise nugget comes from the Alacran Mine in Mexico and has been stabilized to protect the color over time. This specimen has awesome undulating nugget curves and crevices on top with a large flat facade on the other side which could be great for windowing off and polishing to showcase the color and character. Overall dimensions are 14.5" long x 9.5" wide by about 4.75" thick. Photographed dry just as it came from the mine. Check the last photos to see examples of this stones quality. The second to last photo is an example of this same Turquoise tumble polished to show the bright color and quality contained within this huge nugget. Don't let the dull outer skin fool you, it is the same type of Turquoise and the polished example looked very similar before it was polished.
