This ball and fan represents the dried up flower on the ends of the newly developing squash. A long held tradition among Navajo smiths, the Squash Blossom Necklace represents the coming harvest and a time of excitement, among other things. This piece can be used many ways, from earrings to the blossom part of Navajo Squash Blossom Necklaces. It measures 1-1/8" (28.5mm) long by about 5/8" (15mm wide); solid Sterling Silver.
