This Sterling Silver Squash Blossom Necklace Part is crafted from an original hand made by our Navajo silversmiths and then cast from Sterling Silver here in the shop. This design features a tab for stringing 2 strand Squash Blossom Necklaces. The ridged tab has two holes for each strand of beads. The ball and fan represents the dried up flower on the ends of the newly developing squash. A long held tradition among Navajo smiths, the Squash Blossom Necklace represents the coming harvest and good times, among other things. It measures 1-11/16" (42mm) long by about 5/8" (15mm wide). Each Squash Blossom Necklace Part is 3.75g solid Sterling Silver, 7.5g total weight of the pair. Sold as a set of 2.
