This Sterling Silver Squash Blossom Necklace Part is crafted from an original hand made by our Navajo silversmiths and then cast from Sterling Silver here in the shop. This design is for stringing double strand Squash Blossom Necklaces. The longer tab has room for both strands of beads. The holes are not punched on this design. The ball and Fleur-de-Lis ends represent the dried up flower on the ends of the newly developing squash. A long held tradition among Navajo smiths, the Squash Blossom Necklace represents the coming harvest and good times, among other things. It measures 1-13/16" (46mm) long by about 5/8" (15mm wide). Each Squash Blossom Necklace Part is 3.6g solid Sterling Silver, 7.25g total weight of the pair. Sold as a set of 2.
