Offered is a 10 lb. selection of the granular & hardest variety of Gypsum known as Alabaster. These large, natural Alabaster stones are an excellent beginning for use in ornamental art; perfect for carving into pipes, animal fetishes, effigies, keepsakes, bowls or bookends. These medium to large stones would accommodate almost any carving you have in mind. There is no other more beautiful white stone to use & these creations of jewelry or ornamental art would be unlike any other on the market. Alabaster Gypsum is used frequently by Native American carvers Tom Joe & Tony Turpin in their peace pipes. Navajo Tony Turpin also uses this stone to carve his very much sought after fetishes that are used in American Indian jewelry & ceremonies. You will receive a 10 lb. bag of stone as featured in the pictures. These are medium to large nuggets...some are as small as 1" but others are as large as 10".
